Standard 1 students had a fun Art session when they created their exclusive “Bird House”. 

Students used materials found around their house such as manila cards, colour papers, empty boxes, tissue rolls, decorative items, scissors, glue and colour pencils. 

They researched, designed and constructed houses that met the birds’ specific needs. In doing so, students gained much insight into birds like the need for shelter from weather and predators, how to safely hatch eggs and not forgetting that different birds require different sized houses.
