Rafflesia takes pride to celebrate our new milestone with the launching of Sekolah Menengah Rafflesia Puchong (SMRP), effective January 2019!
To build global leaders, SMRP is driven by its aspiration and motto to give children a strong headstart in their school life by nurturing them with holistic education.
SMRP aims to look ahead when it comes to the curriculum of our education. As our country’s educational curriculum progresses for the better, so does our school’s vision for greater learning. The Kurikulum Standard Sekolah Menengah (KSSM) under our school philosophy will cover more than just the usual curriculum – holistic education. Our KSSM helps students to be college or university-ready as well as giving them the competitive edge to be brilliant students both in their academic and co-curricular activities. From Form 1 to Form 5, every stage of education is planned to get them all geared up for greater challenges beyond the classroom.
As we adapt and implement KSSM as the foundation, we also interspersed our teaching with elements of Singapore curriculum content. Subjects like Mathematics and Science are taught in English.
We offer DUAL-CERTIFICATIONS (both SPM and IGCSE) to our students by introducing Cambridge English and adopting IGCSE syllabus to our curriculum. It offers our student a step forward to a smoother pathway to institution of higher learning.
Our areas of focus:
• KSSM as the foundation, interspersed with elements of Singapore curriculum content, in Mathemathics and Science.
• Teaching of Mathematics & Science in English.
• Emphasis in Trilingual Learning Environment (BM, English and Mandarin) with English as the main language of communication.
• Our syllabus is enhanced with Cambridge English and IGCSE ICT.
• Holistic education with emphasis on academic excellence, character building and participation in extra-curricular activities.
