Form 4 students from Sekolah Menengah Rafflesia Puchong,  participated in the STEM Workshop at the University of Nottingham Malaysia on the 18th of August 2022. The STEM Workshop aims to present science to young people in a new exciting way to nurture their interest and competence in STEM subjects. Students participated in exciting live talks, demonstrations, and interactive activities conducted by leading experts. 

 

From the learning overview our students gained opportunities to learn the concepts of genes and maths. The fundamental example of luck is the set of genes we get from our parents. In the session, the maths will tell us how the results of this genetic lottery can influence our life’s outcomes including cancer. 

 

It was a rewarding experience and the students enjoyed the STEM Workshop a lot.
